History

Perched on a hilltop, Arco Castle watch over the town, offering breathtaking views across the valley and Lake Garda. Reaching it is part of the experience: a scenic walk through the historic center, along cobbled alleys and through the olive trees.

Restaurants, bars, and ice cream parlors are the meeting places that enliven Arco's streets and squares. The Parco Arciducale adds a peaceful green escape with exotic and Mediterranean plants.

Today, Arco is best known as Italy’s climbing capital, and is a vibrant hub of outdoor sports—from surfing on the lake to trekking, mountain biking, and climbing.
